Before you begin
- Match your console to the original PS5 shown in the guide; Slim and Pro have different layouts.
- Shut down completely, disconnect every cable and work on a clean, static-safe surface.
- Check the fan connector and housing before ordering a replacement. Keep screws mapped to their locations.
Stop if you find a damaged battery, liquid damage or a part that does not match the guide. Don’t force a connector or improvise a tool.
